Flash is often used by navis designers who are enthusiastic to make flashing looking sites. However, the coding to create Flash content is invisible to most search engines, thus cluttering the overall web page code which decreases search engine ratings. You will find that more seasoned designers use clean and simple code--unless they are producing a site for someone who is deliberately headlining state-of-the-art animated web and video presentations.
